Two Day Art Workshop in St Francis Bay - November 2015

St Francis Bay - this workshop is coming your way!
Monday 2nd November & Tuesday 3rd November 2015 we are going to gather at the St Francis Bowling Club and paint raging seas with splashes and fun techniques to push your paintings to new levels of excitement.

Learn how to:

• Plan for success with small thumbnail sketches and colour mixing. 
• Save whites to create sparkling areas of contrast.
• Create amazing effects with techniques.
• Place rocks for dramatic effect.
• Use colours that vibrate with strength and clarity.
• Design the structures to lead the eye into the painting.
• Let go and enjoy the process to allow for serendipity.

What to bring:

Water colours:

ALL THE BLUES - Prussian Blue, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Manganese Blue (if you have it).
EARTH COLOURS - Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna
GREENS - Hookers Green or Phthalo Green
PLUS - Dioxazine Violet, Indigo

FOR THE FUN TECHNIQUE - White Gouache

​Water colour paper 300 gram and two sizes (A4 and A3)

Spray bottle
Jar for water
Small condiment containers for wet paint
Paper towel or old dishcloths
Old towel for splashy work
Table cloth to protect tables
Apron
Black "Maizey plastic" boards, (I will bring some extras for those who do not already know about my way of stretching paper.)

Brushes - flat wide and some round
Erasers, 2B pencil
