Thank you ECWA for the invitation to paint with you all on Wednesday 2nd March 2016
Just because we CAN. Let's spend a morning playing with paint as we allow the magic of water colour to inspire flowers and blooms to show up on our paper.
This is the plan ... For the Eastern Cape Water Colour Association members we are going to meet at Wesley Gardens in the morning and paint until lunch. The morning will dance between demonstrations - how to's - and some practical application to feel the flow of paint. After lunch we are going to chat about the works of art and discuss the next steps that will help your painting pull together and be a joyous reminder of the morning. Billy at Temenos has designed the most enchanting gardens and he brought us a huge bowl of flowers to inspire our painting | Please if you have some flowers in your garden will you bring them to the event as it is always more fun to paint what we have around us. What to Bring: Water colour paper 300 gram and two sizes (A4 and A3) Pencils - 2B, 4B and 6B and A3 size sketch book with heavy cartridge paper Eraser (cheap kind is fine) Masking fluid Happy and bright colour tubes of Cotman or Winsor Newton water colour tubes Inks if you have Spray bottle Jar for water Small condiment containers for wet paint Paper towel or old dishcloths Old towel for splashy work Apron Black "Maizey plastic" boards, (I will have some extras for those who do not already know about my way of stretching paper.)
