Painting for Plett Art Association - a tribute to Joy Robin

Last Art Dem at Joy Robin's home in Plett - December 2014

Many thanks Joy Robin for steering the Plett Art Association. 

The idea for this dem was to do something fun that everyone could add to.  We poured, splashed, thumped and banged the painting as we passed it around and allowed the magic of water colour to find its way.

Its easy to overwork a piece and so a little more lifting and refining brought this painting into vision.  The cane chair was masked to preserve the white and allow the colours to flow around it.  See the steps of the unfolding below. 

The plan is to all sign this painting so that Joy Robin will be able have a little piece of us all when she moves to her new home.
