My Mom was working on this painting many years ago and I loved the effects that were created. The painting was created on artist board which makes for a fun variation.
Picture
Still to be finished - this painting shows the effects that can be created with some fun techniques.
What to bring:
Large water colour paper - no less than A3 and make sure it is at least 300 grams - best quality you can afford
You may like to purchase a large artist board - speak to me about this, lots of fun to paint on these
Your board from coru plastic board (I will have extra for those who do not know what this is)
Palette with colour and tubes of colour.
Small cups to mix and pour - I like the small plastic condiment cups that have lids
Brushes - rounds and flat
Plastic wrap - (Glad wrap)
Masking fluid
Table cloth (for St Francis folk)
Old towel for splashes and cleaning
Gum arabic if you have - not necessary if you do not have it
Charcoal drawing sticks
Sketch pad that is at least A3 in size with good quality cartridge paper
Water containers
Spray bottles
Cut glass vases if you have to bring for your table and flowers of any sort

Paints:
Reds, yellow and blues in whatever you have.
Reds: (suggestions only) cadmium red, alizarin red,
Blues: cobalt, ultramarine, prussian, turquoise, cerulean
Yellow tones: lemon, cadmium yellow, oranges, browns like burnt sienna

These paintings created on Yupo paper - a very smooth polypropylene paper, sadly not as great a quality as we obtained previously from the UK.

It is always so lovely painting with the St Francis group and two new to water colour artists.  Well done to Oskar and Ursula for jumping in with such enthusiasm and producing some excellent art.

Big thanks to Christine and Heather for getting the group together and for the venue at the Bowling Club with is so fabulous with lots of space for everyone.
