It was a lovely morning painting at the Methodist Church - our fabulous venue for our Friday morning gathering of artists.  Peggy was visiting with her daughter Carol and watched the steps of this painting come into completion.  It was a great pleasure to give this little painting to Peggy.

This is how they framed the painting.  So Nice x thank you x

It is always lovely to have a precious painting come back into my Life.  Funny how these pieces of art twine into the heart.

I thought this painting was gone and forgotten ... and then ....

I received this email out of the blue and it was such a great delight to reconnect with this painting.

Dear Joy,
I found one of your beautiful paintings. I search on the signature and found your web page. I was so pleased to find that you are South African. My parents are South African, and emigrated to the states in 1965. My mother still dreams of her homeland and yearns to return again soon.
I will give her this painting because of the wonderful connection. I have attached 2 photos of the painting. I'm curious to know if you remember this piece.
With kindest regards,

This was my reply to Lynette:

Oh dear Lynette
A flood of tears when I saw this painting again. I have often wondered what happened to it when our friend passed away. I painted those flowers for his wife - Patsy Hogue as they were her favourite and it was a great labour of Love as it took many hours of painting. We were living in Durango Colorado at the time. When we left to come back to South Africa, Les Hogue went to live elsewhere and passed over a couple of years ago. I often wondered what his then partner might have done with all Patsy and Les's beautiful possessions. Patsy was one of the grand dames of Texas and I loved her dearly.

Thank you for seeing the painting and rescuing it. I am thrilled that it will go to your Mom. As in the painting - May the intertwining of Love and Light be present in your Lives.

Thank you for Connecting x
Joy Truscott
