While painting at the Methodist Church in Plettenberg Bay - South Africa, I finished this painting that was waiting in my portfolio bag, longing to be completed. I had begun it months before during a demonstration on how to save whites and paint behind to bring the forms to life. My dear art friend, Carol Humphrey and her gorgeous Mom, Peggy sat nearby. This little painting just begged to go home with Peggy.
Our Moms are so specialEvery Gift we cherish has been a Gift our Beloved Ones have passed on to us. Carol paints beautifully and so does Peggy. I wonder who else in their family line, through the ages, held that Gift of expressing beauty. Gloriously and Intricately Connected ARE WE. We can remember that we are like facets of a diamond and the part of us that shines is because we belong to one another. No matter what your form of expression might be - let it shine and Light up the world. Three Steps to Tweek it ....
